sometimes you just need to write. to work it out. to get it completely out of your head. leaving it in your head gives it power, makes it a mountain. putting it "on paper" gives it a life that you can crumple up and throw away.
pain is usually what gets my pen flowing, or my fingers flying as it were.
allows me to put words to my hurt, see what they look like - big or small - simple or complex.
communicating a longing is new for me - how does one express in words, without a facial expression, a tone of voice, the touch of a hand the longing for something deep within their heart.
a longing for safety. for being assured. for being wanted. for being enough. for being protected. the longing to not have to wonder.
does longing feed into pain, or does pain feed into it?
can one express these enough to someone? can one ever really feel the words enough to penetrate another's heart so they feel them too?
The One had to die on a cross to get his words, his meaning across. and some of us still don't get it. what makes me think my words will ever be impactful enough?
